She is seemed to have blessings of Lord SHIVA the GOD of dance as conceived in Hindu mythology. The blessings had started influencing her to step in rhythm when she was a tiny four years old baby. Since then through her various dance activities she had continued ‘Arati’ (an act of worship) for her ‘Aradhya Devata’ (any deity who is specially worshipped by any individual or a particular folk) the NATARAJA (Avatar of the Lord Shiva). Who is ‘SHE’ ? She is who is contemplating her ‘Devata’ by ‘Arati’ --- She is DEBARATI. The Debarati Goswami.
Ms. Debarati is a renowned Odissi Dance Kalakaar and Teacher, engaged in top-notch innovative, social and cultural activities in India and abroad utilizing her dance talent.
"Whatever I am today could be left as a dream only without the blessings and compassionate grooming contributed by my first mentor Late Sukanta Chowdhury" - as her heart shouts in extreme gratitude.

Rapid Intro
Odissi Dance Kalakar
Debarati has a natural passion for the traditional art form of Odissi dance. People had started noticing her as a graceful dancer whose divine beauty is blended with the mind blowing talent of delivering artistic expressions. When she became a devotee of Lord JAGANNATHA the people who watched her stage performances became her fan. The consequence was obvious and so lot of call shows and various awards had started rushing to her. By then she was only SEVEN.
Stalwart social personalities like Dr. R N Chatterjee (senior cardiac specialist) with his wife, famous classical singer Sri Tamal Mukhopadhyay and her wife Smt. Mrinal Ghosh (respected narrator) had started patronizing and promoting Debarati as an artist when her father fell seriously sick due to Alzheimer.
Finally the GOD blessed her when she entered into the Master in Arts (M.A) course in the renowned institute Rabindra Bharati University (RBU). As an authorized representative of RBU she had performed in various countries of EUROPE like Paris, Luxemburg, Scotland, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Brussels, Armenia, Georgia etc.

Debarati also performs Dramatic Dance those are directly connecting to various social emotions. These performances are Amusing,Thought-provoking and so Enriching and finally Healing from mental stresses. We see her appear on stage as Draupadi, Kadambari,Chandalika,Margina and so on.
Dance Movement Therapy
Life is not merciful to all of us all the time. The most unfortunate fact of Debarati and her family is to have a special child who is mentally challenged since his birth. Though WRIK is a special child of Debarati and Amitava but at the same time he is the living inspiration for his parents to fight all the odds with rock-solid patience and confidence accompanied by overwhelming enthusiasm.
Apart from her own special child Debarati is providing Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) or Cognitive Dance Therapy for many other special children at her own application center cum NGO known as MON-O-MUDRA. Her soulful Dance Movement Therapeutic techniques has already built an awful trust for many such parents.
She is also working as an honored Guest Faculty in well-known institutes like BARASAT University , Netaji Subhash Open University etc. to impart training on Performing Art Therapy. This subject deals with everything related to Cognitive Dance Therapy or Dance Movement Therapy (DMT).
Cultural Activism
As a Cultural Activist she is contributing to various organizations like ICCR NIHH EZCC since last two decades. She does not only perform to satisfy her own passion. She also actively radiate her mentoring ability to many senior officials of different institutes who in turn groom their students.

National Institute Of Mental Health
In the year 2011 Wrik's (son) Autistic discomfort forced Debarati to NIMH Bangalore where her inborn talent as a Special-Child Caretaker was noticed by the official incharge of the Institute. As an educated Performing Art Therapist she was the automatic choice as a GUEST FACULTY for NIHH at later time.
EZCC
Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre
Increasing number of Fan-Followers had influenced her to join Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC). Debarati sat in the concerned exam. on 2005 and successfully became a PANEL ARTIST on the first chance. EZCC grants scholarship to promote unique research on various Cultural forms.
Mon-O-Mudra
Like Music, Aroma etc. DANCE can also play an effective role in Healing. It does miracle in developing Cognitive Behaviour for the children suffering from Autism. American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) has defined Dance / Movement Therapy (DMT) as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being. Keeping the above ideas in mind MON-O-MUDRA an NGO organization was created in the year of 2018. The organization serves to the autistic child with mother's care to empower their cognizance with the help of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT).

After securing First-Class-First position in the final exam. of RBU Debarati was specially selected in the foreign representative team to perform in Europe. After return ICCR selected her as a PANEL ARTIST on 2004 by interview and checking the documents created during the performance in EUROPE.
